You know that your success cannot depend on other people’s opinions, because like the wind, opinions can change and like the weather opinions will change frequently.

To succeed in any venture, you must stay the course, no matter what it is going to cost you.

Here are some guaranteed tips that is going to help you on your journey.

1. Avoid Negativity At All Costs

Avoid negativity because there are negative people all around us.  They can also include our loved ones and close friends.

However it is often the opinions of total strangers that will raise the most negativity as if someone that doesn’t even know or understand you is able to voice a reasonable thought-out opinion about you.

Now when I say avoid negative people I did not mean that you should cut off your nearest and dearest, No you shouldn’t avoid those that are close to you, but you can avoid their negative conversation because these conversations will not profit you. Accept constructive criticism, but steer well away from the negative ongoing banter.

One thing that I have learned is that negativity will grow on you and stick to you if you don’t take control.

Build Yourself Up

What I mean by build yourself up is nothing to do with pride, but rather you should be your best source of encouragement by encouraging yourself.

How can you being building yourself up?

Read testimonies of other successful entrepreneurs, past and present. Read about those that have gone from rags to riches that have now become a great influence.  People and personalities such as:

• Oprah Winfrey
• Mohamed Ali
• Martha Stewart
• Bill Gates
• Richard Branson

Read success stories, there are numerous, such as:

• Nelson Mandela
• Mother Theresa
• Thomas Edison
• Harry S. Truman
• Abraham Lincoln
• Napoleon Hill

There are many more success stories and reading these can make a great impact on your life.

You can also find motivational quotes that speak to you and make them your every affirmations.

Say to yourself everyday “I can and I Will”.

3. Go Back To Square One

Should you find yourself in space where you are just wavering, got back to square one and start to recall the things that encouraged you in the beginning to take your step of faith?

Think back to your why you are doing this in the first place and recall what it takes to succeed.

• Self-confidence
• Independence
• Hard work
• Sacrifice etc.

Look forward and picture what you are going to gain from doing what you are doing. See your success and feel your success and think of you WHY and know that the results will be:

• Doing a job that you love
• Living your dream
• Doing your passion
• All your bills paid in full
• Living in your dream house

Think of the things that you will be leaving behind you and not longer want such as:

• The worst jobs you have ever had
• Getting bills that you know you can’t pay

You get the picture with this one.

So do what it is going to take to motivate yourself.

This is one of the favourite quotes from Muhammed Ali and it goes like this:

“Don’t Count the days, Make the DAYs Count.”

How amazing is that.

Oh I have just thought of another, this one is from the Film The Matrix:

“Don’t think you can…. Know you Can”

Now that is another amazing quote. Love it.

Toss off the negative thoughts and keep hold of the positive thoughts, the thoughts that are:

• Uplifting
• Inspiring
• Encouraging
• Warm
• Friendly

Helpful and useful to you.

You will remain on track to achieving great things in your life as long as you do what you can to prevent yourself becoming derailed by the negative words of other people.
