Attention: Create Your Own Website
Hello and Welcome
In this article I and going to give brief out line of how I created my own website and started blogging for profit.
The reason is that I want to show you how it is possible for you to do the same and giving you the step that I took by using the conversation that I had with a friend as an example and how I explained it to her.
My main aim of this post is to show you how easy it is to get started.
Today I was at work and talking to one of the younger members of staff.
A young lady in her late teens.
I mentioned to her that I was feeling happy because my new website is coming along nicely.
She then started asking me what my new website was about and I told her what my goals were for this website.
Goals:
- To show others how they can do what I am doing.
- Also to help them become successful in building an online blog
- To show how to start blogging for profit.
Now when I said blogging for profit, her ears pricked up and she became very interested and wanted to know more.
When I got home I thought about our conversation and thought that I would share it with you because the same could apply to you.
But rather than write the whole conversation of I said and then she said.
I thought that I would break it down into a more user-friendly and readable article.
Now before I get started, I must say that I was surprised at what she was taught about blogging at school.
Her teacher, (no disrespect) sounded a little out of touch in her description of blogging and left a lot of valuable information out.
By this I mean, this young lady was told that blogging is just an online journal.
Blogging is so much more than just an online journal.
Anyway she wanted to know how she could make money from blogging.
I asked her what she loved.
She replied that she liked drawing.
I asked her again what she loved.
This time she told me that she loved Gerbils and that she had loved Gerbils for as far back as she could remember.
I told her that I would use her love of Gerbils in an example of how she could blog for profit.
Here goes….
I know in the title it said:

I am getting to that, just thought I would give you some back ground so that you would see the whole picture.
I am using her example topic of Gerbils but the methods I am going to share is the same as what I have used and still using.
Oh before I forget, blogging on a website is a big part of making your website into a money generator.
Choosing a Niche
First you will have to think about what niche you would like to explore.
In this instance it is going to be in the Gerbil niche.
Choosing a Name for Your Website
Now to be honest this was one point that took me the longest when I was choosing and Website Name.
But for the purpose of this article our website name will be. I Love Gerbils.
I just made it up and don’t know if it is even available.
The great thing about creating my first website was that it was free.
You first website is the one that you will be doing all your training on and getting to know how things work, such as search engines and plugins.
The great thing is that I got 2 free websites.
Once you have done that you are good to go with creating your first website.

How to create a website
This in fact was the easy part because it only actually took me about 30 minutes.
My website is a WordPress website that comes with a ton of features and the platform that I used, provided a load of step by step training. You can check out my review here.
Now I Have Create My Website: Now What?
Well now the fun begins.
Now because you will be starting out with a topic that you love, it will make the next stages easier.
Which is putting content on your website.
There are many forms of content that you can use for your site.
Such as:
- You can create your own videos on your topic and put them on your website.
- You can take photos on your topic and put them on your website.
- You can write on your topic.
But a combination of all of them would be more effective.
I learned how to do all this and more from the platform that I use, you can discover how to get started online.
How Can You Turn Writing About Gerbils into Money?
This was the question that she asked me.
Well when you are writing content on this topic it will go something like this.
- I love Gerbils because…..
- How I care for my Gerbils….
- How I feed my Gerbils….
- Where my Gerbils live…..
- My Gerbils toys…….
- Why I choose this cage for my Gerbils…..
I think you get the picture.
Now for the good bit and I can tell you that she really got excited at this part.
But before I get more into this.
Think about it for a moment.
- What are the things that you would need to care for a gerbil?
- What type of food would you need to buy for a gerbil?
- Are you getting the picture?
You would need items like:
- A nice cage
- Water bowl
- Food bowl
- Straw and bedding
- Toys to give the gerbil mental stimulation
- Food
- Cleaning materials for cleaning cage
These are just a few things that I researched on how to keep and maintain a gerbil.
This method can be used on almost any niches.
Product reviews could be written on all these items and more and when your reader clicks on the product being reviewed and makes a purchase, you get paid. YAY.

So Where Does the Money Come in?
This is called affiliate marketing and you can learn all about it and what you can gain from pursuing affiliate marketing.
This is where the money comes in and learning the correct way to implement it into your content will help you to turn your website into an income generator.
I want to say at this point that I am not attempting to sell you anything. My aim here is to help you live your best lifestyle possible and I truly believe this is a great way to do.
