Right this is going to be a blogging crash course that is going to quick but yet powerful and if you are having trouble in getting traffic to your blog then this is going help a ton.
I am going to share what I am doing because so far it is working very well for increasing my traffic.
I am also going to share with you what other successful bloggers and website owners are doing that I have on my list to implement.
Many people with blogs get disheartened after a few weeks or months of blogging because they fail to attract thousands of readers.
This is a real shame, because if these bloggers just followed a few simple blog marketing steps then they would probably find that there is a will audience just dying to read about most topics.
Let me first say before I get started that blogging is not a hobby it is a part-time or full-time business and it is going to take time and effort to start seeing real traffic coming to your blog regularly.
What I am showing you are marketing Technics that you can put into place so that you will be in a better position for your readers to find your blog.
So What Can You Do To Get Your Blog Noticed?
Here are s a blog marketing ideas that should get you started with seeing more traffic in a shorter space of time.

Blog About a Niche
To be honest the world does not really need another ‘vanity blog’ about your daily comings and goings and what you had for breakfast.
This kind of blog are more successful if your already have a strong following that want to know your every move such as a super-model or celebrity. You will find this kind of blog harder to get noticed.
But if you already have a vanity blog and wondering why you’re not getting traffic then you need to know that this market is pretty much saturated.
I am not saying that it is not possible to make this kind of blog work, I am just saying that you will find it harder.
One way around it is to think out of the box and narrow it down to a smaller niche such as:
- Hair styles for short hair or long hair
- Make up for brow eyes
- Make up to cover birth marks
Something like that, I must confess this is not really my kind of niche so maybe you will come up with something more creative.
My point is change your direction and aim for something more unique.
Another thing that you could do to make your niche more unique is to change it to something that interests you or a hobby that you love.
Many people that read blogs are looking for something that is going to help them in some way.
Connect with Forums
This is a very powerful tool but use with caution because spamming is a no no. So please don’t put things like “Check out my blog”
The great thing with forums like Quora is that you will have to complete your profile and this is where you can add your website URL.
This is save you from spamming within the forum.
The way that it works best is that you will take part in the conversations naturally helping others and then people within the forum will then want to check out your profile where you website address will be.
People will get curious and this way you will get more readers to your blog.
Oh just a note it is a better if you find forums that are the same or similar niche topic to your website this way you will be targeting your audience.
With Site like Quora it makes it a lot easier to find your target audience so all you have to do is find what is relevant to you blog site and join in the conversations.
The trick is to follow the most popular in your niche over at Quora and other forums look for ones that have a few thousand active members.
Doing this you are most likely get repeat readers from doing this.
To find forum, just go into Google and search for your niche keyword plus “forum” and you would get a list of forums to choose from.
Another trick is to check out who the popular writers in the forum are and give them a mention in your posts and comment on what they have written, this way they will come to see what you have said. The great thing is so will some of their readers.
When you comment on popular stories from popular blogs, will increase your exposure and get you even more visitors.
Comment on other Blogs
Commenting on other people’s blogs as you can, but remember no spamming.
In most cases you will be able to put your blog link and people do follow these links.
You should focus on blogs that are in the same or similar niche to yourself, this way you will get targeted readers who will return to read more.
A Word of warning, please don’t use ‘Comment Spam’ programs because Google will not like this and will track and penalise you.

Ping Your Blog
This is a total that I use every time I publish new content. It is a great way to get your blog out to other search engines.
I use Pingomatic.com it is free to use and this will bring traffic to your blog. It may take a little while but keep at it and you will see an increase in your traffic.
Pingomatic is a site that will update search engines and let them know that you have just published a new blog post.
I like using Pingomatic.com because it is easy to use and gets the job done.
Keep Blogging Regularly
When you have a new Blog it will take time to get noticed by the search engines. A realistic time-line is from 4 to 6 months before you will start to gain organic traffic from the search engines.
But doing what I have mentioned above will get you noticed by your target audience much quicker.
So that when the search engines catch up you will see a massive increase in your traffic and this will be partly due to all the hard work you did prior.
Another important thing to note is that you need to keep blogging because no one will return to your blog is it is not updated regularly.
When you first get started you will need to blog, blog and blog some more, some people say that you should blog every day but three to four times a week should do the trick.
Another thing to note is your content word count. You should aim for 1,000 words plus for most of your content.
